…it’s been a good time back in Nash to wrap things up with my upcoming LP recordings—-> Mixes are officially finished!

All is moving along swimmingly… will feel good to share with you. I’m currently getting started on new album artwork and the all-important mastering process.

I’ve kept the social sites updated with tracking info and photos, but in case you missed it, here’s what was done:

In regards to the new album, I’m teaming up again with Chad Howat (www.paperrouteonline.com) and enlisting the creativity of Dan Brigham (www.canonblue.com) to fill the production chairs. We’ve been in pre-production-mode for about 6 weeks now and things are getting crazy around here. I’m going into the studio this upcoming Monday and will keep you posted about all the tracking and progress via my blog (here) and social sites (Facebook and Twitter).

I just think it’s so strange how the holidays have now become about buying a bunch of schtuff….. it’s so not about that.

Announcing a few shows for December!

If you’re in or near Nashville come join me at The Basement (bottom level of the incredible Grimey’s Record Shop) December 9, 2011! I haven’t done a formal Nashville show in quite some time and I can’t wait to share new songs with you. Will also be surrounded by my incredible band complete with rhythm, lap steel, clarinet, harp, & cello! I’ll be joining the bill with my amazingly talented friend Dan Brigham, also known as Canon Blue as well as the stellar l.a.-based band Empires. Info can be found here.

Then come say hello December 10 at The Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis! I will have a small rhythm section and guitar with me that evening – can’t wait! Check out my ‘shows’ page for more info.

And don’t forget, come out tomorrow night (Nov. 4) in Jackson, TN for my set along with the incredible Jon Foreman!

And, this is most overdue, but I was recently listening to my dear Chicago-based friends Sleeping At Last’s music and realized I need to share this with you all! They put out an incredible collection of songs called “Yearbook” that contains 36 songs; 3 songs for every month of the year. There’s also a little guest vocal “cameo” from your’s truly on the “April” selection. Buy the whole collection – would make an excellent Christmas present for your loved ones

And finally, as I wrap up the last couple o’ weeks of writing my new record, I want to invite anyone who is interested in a more in-depth look at the process to email info@brookewaggoner.com with the words “new record updates” in the subject line to request being added to my “special behind-the-scenes” mailing list.. It’s been a busy couple of months… we had a great show in Chicago a couple of weeks ago:

A few updates in the world of online stuff…
1. My webstore of physical product is now also integrated into my facebook music page.

Please feel free to spread this around and tell your family and friends! Without you I couldn’t make this music and am grateful for your support!

2. I have also recently partnered with a great new company based out of Austin, TX called The Music Bed. If you’re a non-profit, event planner, or planning a mix tape to use for your next visual project please contact these guys for using music in your projects. It’s the correct and legal way to use music in video projects. Most of my catalog is available and you should check out all the other great independent bands and artists they represent! We would all love to be “apart” of your next endeavor!

Now, onto new projects I’ve got up my sleeve…..
1. Be sure to stay tuned for an excellent compilation record coming out soon (tbd) called “Seeds” that Ensigo is releasing in support of micro grants for artists and musicians based in the tumultuous country and climate of Uganda. It’s very difficult for these artists to make their art and this record is partnering with them to give all proceeds to art houses in support of Uganda’s Art, Culture, & Music. Here is a list of some of the other bands and artists taking part in the project.
The song I wrote and recorded with Susan Kiguli (Uganda poet) is very near and dear to my heart. Can’t wait to share it with you! More updates on this release soon…

2. In celebration of the new season, be sure to get this fantastic FALL 2011 sampler on NoiseTrade. 3. And finally, the majority of my time these days is filled with writing song after song for my new record. YES!
